Amplified, is a thermocycler-based diagnostic device that serves as a platform to run complete PCR-based tests on microfluidic chips, including sample preparation. Integration of a pneumatic control system with Amplified allows control of PCR on a microfluidic chip, reducing the number of steps required to run PCR-based tests and the chances of contamination. Amplified also provides an alternative for individualized testing in laboratory and hospital settings.
